Obituary Robert Alton Shepherd, 70, of Havelock, passed away Monday, February 21, 2022, at his home. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 1:30 pm at Oceanview Cemetery in Beaufort. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 28, 2022 from 12 pm-1 pm at Bridgeway Church in Beaufort. Robert is survived by a life partner, Nora Reels, a very dedicated woman who gave 45 years to helping him during his sickness and stood by him to the end; three children, Darnell Shepherd, Laveria Shepherd, and Bobby Newman; grandchildren, Keyounce Shepherd and Javin Balfour; and two sisters, Laveria Ellison and Louvenia Henry. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Wilhelmina Shepherd; one brother, William Shepherd Jr.; and three sisters, Greta Henry, Rosa Hyman, and Annie Greir.
