Robert 'Bob' Adrian Bradley Iii

Robert Adrian Bradley III, affectionately known as Bob, 85, of Pine Knoll Shores, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Carteret Health Care of Morehead City surrounded by his family. By the Grace of God, his broken body has been mended. Bob was born in Smithfield, NC with family ties in Whitakers, NC. At age 13, Bob became the family provider which molded his entire life. He opened his first business, Bob's Drive-In, at age 19. He then worked for Maola Milk as a milkman. His next employer was Sears and Roebuck where he managed several catalog stores and traveled throughout North and South Carolina as a Sears District Manager. He retired from Sears after 33 years . Bob was an entrepreneur, contractor and instrumental in developing the Smithfield township. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday February 12, 2017 at Bridgeway Church of Beaufort with Rev. Danny Powell officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church. Mr. Bradley is survived by his wife of 63 years, Pat Bradley of Pine Knoll Shores; daughters, Lynn (Danny) Powell of Smithfield, NC; Pam Bradley of Pine Knoll Shores; Adrian Boe (Richard Smith) of Beaufort; grandchildren, Phillip Anderson of Raleigh; Bradley Anderson of Charlotte; Andreas Boe; Gray Morris; and Johanna Boe all of Pine Knoll Shores; great-grandchildren, Zane Anderson; Emma Anderson both of Clayton; Ailene Anderson of Charlotte; and Rowan Boe of Pine Knoll Shores. Mr. Bradley was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Elva Mae (Whitley) Bradley. Flowers are welcome or memorial gifts can be made to Shepherd of the Sea Lutheran in Atlantic Beach or One Harbor in Morehead City.
