Robert Fred Allen

Robert F. “Bobby” Allen, 75, of Havelock, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home in Morehead City, with Rev. Jack Mumford officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2024, at Spruce Grove Methodist Church Cemetery in Mt. Nebo, WV.

Bobby was born in Portland Maine, on January 28, 1948, to Frank and Margaret Allen, who preceded him in death. He retired from Beaufort Fisheries after over 30 years of service as a welder, prior to that he served in the U.S. Coast Guard for four years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his three children, Robert D., Christopher P., and Aimee R. Allen; stepchildren, Sharon McClurg and Michael D. Fountain; seventeen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Additionally, he is survived by his onliest baby sister Sue Brill, and brother Richard L. Allen.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Carteret Co. Humane Society, 853 Hibbs Rd. Newport, NC or the SECU Crystal Coast Hospice House, 100 Big Rock Weigh, Newport, NC 28570.
