Ronald Everett Davis

Obituary Ronald E. Davis, 84, of Newport passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Cherry Point Bay Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Havelock. Ronald grew up and lived most of his life in Wake Forest, NC before moving to the Crystal Coast twenty years ago. He worked in distribution and retail most of his life. Anyone that knew Ronald will tell you he was the biggest Elvis Presley fan of all time. As much as he loved Elvis, he could often be heard asking Dennis Boyd to play his favorite song, The Breeze by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Ronald enjoyed spending time with his friends and playing billiards at the Timeout Tavern and Boyds Billiards. His life will be celebrated in private. In addition to an aunt, sister-in-law, and many cousins, he will be greatly missed by his granddaughter, Joan Glover of Newport; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Philippart of Newport; and good friends, Dennis and Georgia Boyd of Morehead City; and Aidee Antino; and Brittany Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Lizzie Davis; wife, Patricia Perry Davis, and step-son, Christopher Philippart.
