Obituary Sandra "Sandy" Edwards Schwobel 73, of Newport, passed away April 1, 2019 at Carteret Health Care after a sudden and brief illness. Sandy was a retired substance abuse counselor. The family will hold a celebration of life at the family residence in Newport at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 6, 2019 with Rev. Marion Bell-Hill officiating. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Don Schwobel of the home; daughters, Cindi Johnson and her husband Mark of Newport; Angel Arnold and her companion Danny Garner of Mill Creek; brothers, Malcolm LeDoux and his wife Cindy of New Hampshire; Wayne LeDoux and his wife Joanie of New Hampshire; Don Edwards Jr and his wife Sue of Morehead City; Mike Edwards and his companion Anna Hilting of Otway; Barry Edwards and his wife Debra of Jefferson, NC; sister, Debbie Grady and her husband Randy; grandson, Jeff Wells and his wife Ashley of Rocky Mount; granddaughters, Lauren Hallman of Charlotte; Adaline Johnson of Newport; great grandson David Wells of Rocky Mount; special friend, Wendi Gale Gordon of Atlantic; and her dog Sir Bob Marley.
