Sarah Edith Burns

Sarah Burns, 96, of Newport, passed away Sunday September 13, 2015 at her home in Newport. Mrs. Burns was a life long member of Highland Heights Baptist Church of Memphis, TN. She loved attending Church, sewing , baking and her plants that she brought all the way from Memphis with her when she moved here to the East Coast four years ago. Mrs.Burns lived a long wonderfully life now she is at peace in Heaven . A memorial service will be held at a later date in Memphis, TN. She is survived by her granddaughter, Paula Woody of Newport; grandson, Richard Elmore of Memphis, TN; two Great granddaughters, April Jones of the home; Danah Hartley of Newport; three great grandsons, Justin Woody of Newport; Adam Devoto of Memphis, TN; Tommy Revere of Morehead; Great Great grandchildren, Jasmine, AJ, Jeremiah, DJ, and Abby.
