Stacy D. Guthrie

Stacy D. Guthrie, 82, of Otway, passed away Saturday October 8, 2016 at New Hanover Regional Hospital in Wilmington. Mr. Guthrie made a living as a commercial fisherman, he loved working on the water and cooking. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Friday at Martha Louise Family Cemetery of Otway with Pastor Jack Mumford officiating. He is survived by his two sons, Ricky D. Guthrie of Rocky Point, NC; Jerry A. Guthrie of Otway; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sister, Katie Gaskill of Sea Level. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stacy and Flora Bell Guthrie; wife of 57 years, Carolyn J. Guthrie; two brothers, James and Joseph Guthrie. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 Friday at Otway Christian Church of Otway.
