Sterling 'Buddy' Mccarthy

Obituary Sterling "Buddy" McCarthy, 73, of Beaufort, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City. Buddy was born on October 21, 1947. He graduated from East Carteret High School in 1966 and retired after a long career in the insurance field. After retirement, he spent the rest of his days doing the things he loved: boating, cooking, listening to beach music, "chilling" in his man cave, and spending time with his beloved family. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Bridgeway Church in Beaufort. The family will receive friends following the service. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Hazel and Bob Allison; and his father, Charles McCarthy.
