Steve Charles Elberson

Steve Elberson, 63, of Otway, passed away Friday August 14, 2015 at Carteret Health Care. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Bridgeway Church of Beaufort with Pastor Porter R. Graves III officiating. Steve was born 1952 to Mabel Pauline and Ira Lee Elberson in Thomasville, NC. He was raised in Silver Valley and a 1970 graduate of Central Davidson High School. He was employed at Wright of Thomasville for 30 years. He was a member of Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church until 2003 when he moved to Beaufort, NC. In Beaufort he was a member of Bridgeway Church of the Nazarene where he was very active in several capacities. He was retired from Safits Building Supply. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Elberson and sons, Matt Elberson and wife, Melissa of Mt. Pleasant, NC; Cole Elberson and wife Gina of Newport, NC; grandchildren, Hanna Elberson, Leah Elberson, Timothy Cagle, Christopher Cagle; brother, Jimmy Elberson of Thomasville and wife, Louise; father in law, James Everhart, sister in law, Carlisa Bryant. He is preceded in death by his sister, Sue Arthur, mother in law, Sue Everhart. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Bridgeway Church, PO Box 2157, Beaufort, NC 28516.
