Obituary Steven Lewis, 63, of Harkers Island, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City. Mr. Lewis was a lifelong resident of Harkers Island and was known for his model boat building. The family will have a graveside service at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Vergie Mae Cemetery on Harkers Island with Pastor Lee Pittard officiating. He is survived by his three brothers, James Lewis and wife Pearl of Harkers Island; Houston Lewis and his wife Terry of Harkers Island; Paul D. Lewis and his wife Alicia of Otway; three nieces; one nephew; and special friend, Jake Rose. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burgess and Nora (Hancock) Lewis; and an infant brother.
