Thomas "Bull" Bullock

Thomas “Bull” Bullock, 93, of Beaufort, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at his home. 

 Bull was well-known in Beaufort as the owner and operator of Bull's Prop Shop, a business he passionately led from 1978 - 2023. His dedication to his work and the local boating community left a lasting impact.

 A devout member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Bull was deeply involved in church activities and contributed significantly to the church community, reflecting his strong faith and commitment to service.

 Outside of his professional and spiritual life, Thomas had a rich and active personal life. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Beaufort Hogs Golf Club, Morehead City Elks Lodge, and Morehead City Country Club. His love for golf was matched by his joy in working in his yard and spending quality time with his family, whom he cherished deeply.

 A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Carteret Memorial Gardens in Beaufort. The family will receive friends following the service at Bull’s home, 209 George St. Beaufort. 

 He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Wheatly and husband, Eddie Bo of Beaufort; son, Thomas “Tommy” Bullock Jr. and wife, Carol Lynn of Beaufort; granddaughter, Julie Young and husband, Hunter of Beaufort; grandson, Eddie Wheatly and wife, Brittany of Beaufort; grandson, Thomas Bullock III and wife, Brooke of Beaufort; granddaughter, Allison Baxter and husband, Evan of Beaufort; six great grandchildren: Beau, Sam, Lucy, Libby, Anders, and Riley; sister, Jean Coltrain and husband, Roger of Everetts, NC.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Betty Bullock; his five brothers and one sister; and his loving wife, Jane Bullock.
