Timothy Macon Bryan

November 25, 1964 — January 25, 2022

Obituary On January 25, 2022, Timothy Macon Bryan, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away at the age of 57. He was born on November 25, 1964 at Rex Hospital to the late Patricia Bryan and the late Wesley Bryan, both of Raleigh. Tim attended St. Timothys School of Raleigh and Broughton High School. He later attended the Plumbing program at Wake Technical Community College where he received his certification and then obtained his general contractors license. After working for a few plumbing companies, Tim decided to start his own residential plumbing business and worked for 25+ years. Tim was born to love music. It started with hearing his mothers gift of singing and his first piano at the age of eight. Hearing the rock band Journey for the first time in his teens, the piano lessons went out the window. He wanted to sing and play the songs on the piano like he heard them on the albums and radio. And he did. Some of the bands he sang and played in were "Pony", "Ice Raven" and "OPERA". Eddie Howell, Michael Dismukes, Bill Clay, Jim Teddy, Mike Bartholomew, Wyatt Staton, Jeff Marcom, Steve Windhorn, Wade Cornett and Tony Crawford were a integral part of Tim living his dream thank you. Tim met his wife, Valerie, after she moved to Raleigh in 1985. They soon became "two peas in a pod", a phrase Tim coined after they started dating. For nine years they drove to Tims band gigs all over North Carolina. On November 25, 1993, celebrating Thanksgiving and his birthday with family, Tim asked Valerie to be his wife. Married on May 28, 1994, they began 27 years of many wonderful adventures. They sang together for many years at their home church Longview Baptist and at the Missionary Baptist Church in Marshallberg where Valerie grew up. They enjoyed trips to Cape Lookout, Boone and Florida just to name a few. Being with family was one of their greatest joys. Although there were no children, they had their doggiesMolly, Gracie and now Noah. Tim was a gentleman. He had an amazing ability to make others smile even when he was sad. Tim took every opportunity to learn from everyone he met and was always willing to help and support anyone who needed it. He was kind, compassionate and had tremendous wit, but his greatest gift was to connect with people through his music. Tim is survived by his wife, Valerie; half-sister, Leslie B. Yarbrough of Swansboro; half-brother, Kevin Bryan and wife Katosha of Raleigh; aunt, Nancy Solomon of Raleigh; father-in-law, Johnnie Willis of Marshallberg; brother-in-law, Anthony Willis and wife, Lori of Greenville with son Dylan; sister-in-law, Carol Zimmerman and husband, Donnie of Beaufort; sister-in-law, Holly Willis and husband, Allen of Beaufort with sons Hunter and Hudson and many loving cousins and friends.
