Obituary On this day, October 16, 2023, Valerie O'Neal Willis took her final breath surrounded by her loved ones at Carteret Health Care. Her funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Island Road Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Tyler officiating. A visitation will take place one hour prior. The sun rose, and the world welcomed Valerie on June 28, 1963. That day, the world became a little brighter. Valerie lived a full and warm life filled with joy, happiness, love and kindness. Valerie O'Neal Willis will be fondly remembered and sorely missed. Valerie is survived by her husband, Henry Willis, of Gloucester, NC; son, Allen Gaskins of Beaufort, NC; father, Toby O'Neal of Beaufort, NC; brothers: T.C. O'Neal of Beaufort, NC and Christopher O'Neal, of Beaufort, NC; sisters: Candi Whaley of Newport, NC and Lillie O'Neal of Newport, NC; and an abundance of family and friends. We will miss Valerie more than words can say. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rowena Killmon.
