Obituary Walter "Little Baby" Graig Guthrie, 68, of Harkers Island passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Carteret Health Care of Morehead City. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Harkers Island Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Dell Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Vergie Mae Cemetery. He is survived by his daughter, Crystal Guthrie of Beaufort; sons, Walter G. Guthrie Jr. of Morehead City and Scotty of Gloucester; two grandchildren; two brothers, Dennis Cornell Guthrie of Harkers Island; Wallace "Big Baby" Craig Guthrie of Harkers Island; two sisters, Merita "Pee Wee" Guthrie of Harkers Island; Nettie Johnson of Marshallberg; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Kathleen Guthrie; two sisters, Darnell Guthrie and Margaret Garner; two brothers, Alonzo "Buck" Guthrie and Leslie "Mert" Guthrie. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the Church.
