William 'Bill' Erville Edwards

William "Bill" Erville Edwards, 83, of Beaufort, NC passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 at his sons home in Newport, NC. Mr. Edwards was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Beaufort. He was a lifelong automotive mechanic, an engineer and pilot on the menhaden boats, Menhaden Plant Manager in both Southport and Beaufort, and the Fleet Maintenance Manager for the town of Morehead City. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00PM on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at First Free Will Baptist Church in Beaufort with Rev. Richard Patterson officiating. The family will receive friends the hour prior to the service. Mr. Edwards is survived by his sons, Bryan and wife, Audrey Edwards of Washington, NC; Jeff and wife, Celeste Edwards of Newport, NC; seven grandchildren, Chad and wife Maryanne Edwards of Farmville, NC; Aaron and wife Belinda Edwards of Bath, NC; Summer Badauka of Raleigh, NC; Adrianna Brookins and spouse Ryan Justice of Richlands, NC; Brianne Edwards and husband, Ben Alvarez of Durham, NC; Jaysa and husband, Ben Hursa of Encinitas, CA; Gwen Edwards of Newport, NC; eight great-grandchildren, Nicholas Edwards; Brianna Edwards; Jacob Edwards; Jaxon Brookins; Devyn Justice; Drake Justice; Ezra Capps; Kovan Hursa; brother, Leon and wife, Blanche Edwards of Edwardsville, VA. Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his parents, Erville and Velma (Haynie) Edwards; first wife, Mary Edwards; second wife, Mickey Edwards; and daughter, Janie Smith.
