William 'Tommy' Russell

William "Tommy" Russell, 81 of Beaufort, NC passed away Thursday January 26, 2017 at Carteret Health Care of Morehead City. He was a lifelong member of Live Oak Grove Christian Church where he was an Elder and Sunday School Superintendent. He made his living as a carpenter. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday January 28, 2017 at Live Oak Grove Christian Church with Pastor Bill Pollock officiating. Burial will follow at the Church Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Myrna Russell of Beaufort, six children, Lisa Russell of Greenville, NC; Billy Russell and wife, Carol of Beaufort, NC; Paul Russell of Beaufort, NC; Don Russell of Beaufort, NC; Suzanne Guthrie and husband, Steve of Beaufort, NC; Richard Russell of Beaufort, NC; four grandchildren, Andrea Kelso of Greensboro, NC; Katelyn Guthrie of Raleigh, NC; Tyler Russell of Beaufort, NC; Daniel Guthrie of Charlotte, NC; great granddaughter, Brooke Kelso of Greensboro, NC; and brother, George Russell of Greensboro, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Sadie Russell; daughter, Mary Katherine Russell; and grandson, Benjamin Thomas Russell. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at the church.
